Dana Grubb was born and raised in Abilene, Texas, where she graduated from Abilene Christian High School in 1984. She attended Abilene Christian University for two years before transferring to the University of Texas in Austin where she earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
As a member at Northside Church of Christ, Dana has been involved in a variety of ministries including Women's Ministry, Ladies Bible Class, Adult Education, Fisher House, and Leadership Training for Christ. She currently co-leads Mobile Loaves and Fishes, a ministry that seeks to feed and encourage the homeless in her city.
For over 17 years Dana has taught Ladies’ Bible classes. During that time she discovered a need for in-depth Bible studies with personal application. Dana began to write original curriculum in 2002; since that time she has written material used in the Ladies’ Bible class at her church. In her writing, Dana seeks to bring women to the Word of God while providing insight and opportunities for personal reflection and application. Her passion is to see women grow spiritually and see how the Word of God can impact their daily lives.
While she enjoys architecture and construction, Dana has spent the last 18 years helping God and her husband, Kent, “build” two beautiful children, Chris (age 20) and Mikayla (age 14), into servants of the Lord. Dana Grubb is the founder and president of Changed by Jesus Ministries which strives to lead women to a closer walk with Jesus through the study of His Word. She loves teaching Ladies Bible classes, reading, cross-stitching, and she enjoys watching a good football game. Dana, her husband Kent, and their two children live in San Antonio, Texas.
Dana has written and published three Bible studies, Changed by Jesus: Lessons Learned from the Women Jesus Touched, and Used by God: Lessons Learned from Women of the Old Testament and her latest book, Called by Christ: Lessons from the life of Peter.
Her books have been translated into Russian and Ukrainian by Eastern European Missions. Dana has been blessed with the opportunity to go to Eastern Europe to encourage and teach women.
